District History
John R. Lundy District Grand Lodge was organized Septermber 23, 1978, under the leadership of Brother Frank Moorehead as Grand District Master. At that time there were four lodges that composed the District. The District was named in honor of the late Brother John R. Lundy of King Solomon Lodge No. 71 of New York City and the husband of the late Sister Geneva Lundy.
Since the District’s inception there have been (15) fifteen Grand District Masters:

During the tenure of all District Masters, John R. Lundy District Grand Lodge has maintained a pattern of striving for growth and increase in membership that continues to build on the tenets of Brotherhood.
Over the years, the John R. Lundy District Grand Lodge has actively contributed to a variety of charitable causes. Among them are the voter registration drives, community health fairs, the distribution of food and clothing to the Franklin Avenue Men’s Shelter, and providing Christmas toys to Hale House; various shelters and local hospitals.
Currently under the leadership of Brother Kaseem Clyburn, the District’s goals are to:
- Continue to build unity, love, morality, and respect within the District Grand Lodge
- Improve the quality of life for those that are less fortunate than we are
- Make our community a better place to live
